The Rugby Partnership is a commercially driven sports management company specialising in elite rugby players. With a decade of experience in top-level sports sponsorship, player management and sports PR, we are perfectly placed to maximise the earning potential of our clients.
The Rugby Partnership is founded on integrity. We are committed to building strong long-term relationships to ensure our clients get the most from their playing career.
The Rugby Partnership is the brainchild of Gordon Hood who wanted to better connect the sport and business worlds. A passionate rugby player (and Scotsman!) his love of the game has brought him fantastic rugby experiences all over the world.
A law graduate from Aberdeen University, he worked in sport sponsorship for several years before establishing himself in player management.
Gordon spends a lot of his time traveling throughout the UK visiting players and clubs, meeting with coaches and directors of rugby and building new business. He has a combination of strong rugby knowledge and extensive commercial contacts, enabling a rounded partnership approach.
Jo is predominately based in the Edinburgh office dealing with day to day client management, making sure there is regular contact with players. She is also involved in continuing to nurture existing commercial connections and support new ones.
Alex works closely with Gordon focusing on the agency side of the business, managing players and exploring any potential commercial opportunities. He is based near London but, like Gordon, regularly travels to games across the country on the look out for exciting new talent.
We are delighted to manage players in Scotland, England and France, including several international players, most of whom we have had as clients from the very beginning of their careers. There is nothing we enjoy more than helping a client sign their first professional contract or watch them gain their first international cap.
